I have a background in forest ecology and botany. I am interested in vegetation dynamics and human-Land interactions. My research is focused on the endangered Syzygium paniculatum, a Culturally significant plant for the Jerrinja people. Using paleoecology my research reconstructs high resolution information about past dynamics for the species. This information will be supplied in a co-design process with Jerrinja community to inform management outcomes for the plant.

Research Interest

I am interested in the processes and relationships that shape floristic assemblages and plant behavior. I am concerned with the limitations of colonial ecology and aim to engage with ecology from a relational positionality that is inclusive of Culture and human-Land interaction.
